The guys are back in studio, laying down tracks for their 2nd album!

As I mentioned on the forum, I’ve had the privilege of listening to the pre-production “roughs” for this record. I am thrilled to report that the compositions are 100% ZED!

What I mean by 100% ZED is this: Often times I find debut albums are my favorite albums. Led Zep I is my favorite Zep record by far. The same goes for Outlaws, Van Halen, Boston, Guns and Roses, Pearl Jam, Heart, Sex Pistols, Ramones, Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix, and The Doors. There’s just an energy and hunger that comes through on debut records, and often times these releases contain material that have been developed over a number of years.

Additionally, as bands “Mature” there’s a tendency to change. They’ll add components to their sound that’s a departure from what made them successful. There’s a reason AC/DC is still selling out arenas, and after 37 years their last CD was certified 5x Platinum. They’ve stayed true to a sound and a style.

So that’s why I’m thrilled to report that the new CD will be 100% ZED!

You can follow the progress and get regular updates by visiting ZED’s website and/or Facebook page. I’ll also be posting updates here. Stay tuned!

In the mean time, have you told anyone about ZED today?
